It is especially important for modulating surgical stress and supporting recovery. When a patient undergoes surgery, the process induces stress on the body that results in the breakdown of muscle, affecting the body’s ability to heal and recover.
Sample menu of day before surgery: salmon, baked potato, steamed broccoli, green salad, glass of milk. Up until 3 hours before your surgery, avoid heavy meal with a large amount of fat.
🌿 CLEAR LIQUID 🌿
It is important that your body needs to get well hydrated before surgery, drink plenty of clear liquids such as water, plain tea, clear broth, Gatorade, soda, apple juice, or Boost Breeze liquid supplement. If you have diabetes, avoid juice, milk or creamer, regular soda, and sports drinks, since these can raise your blood sugar levels.
